Privacy Policy

Dezio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates getdezio.com and the Dezio application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it. By using Dezio, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. You may also provide your name, company name, and phone number through your profile or settings.

Project and Selection Sheet Data

We store the content you create within the Service, including project names and addresses, builder and client information, room configurations, material selections, notes, product details, and any associated metadata. This data is stored securely and associated with your account.

Uploaded Files and Images

Images you upload — whether captured with your device camera, pasted from your clipboard, or imported via URL — are stored in our secure cloud storage. You retain ownership of all files you upload. We store these files solely to enable the Service to function and to display your selection sheets.

Billing Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information (such as credit card details) is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Usage Information

We may collect basic usage data such as pages visited, features used, session duration, and browser or device type. This data helps us understand how the Service is used and improve it over time. It is not sold to third parties.

Client-Submitted Data

When you share a selection sheet with a client via a link, the client may view the shared sheet and submit their name along with an approval or revision request. We store that submission — including the name, any revision note, and a timestamp — in association with your project record.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate your account and keep it secure
  • Store and retrieve your project data across devices
  • Enable sharing of selection sheets with your clients
  • Process billing and manage your subscription
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., password resets, approval notifications)
  • Respond to support requests or inquiries
  • Improve the Service based on usage patterns
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or project data to any third party for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the Service. These providers may process or store your data as part of delivering their services to us:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, row-level security, and file storage
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery

Each of these providers maintains its own security and data handling standards. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and storage. We do not authorize these providers to use your data for any purpose beyond providing services to us.

4. Customer Data You Enter About Your Clients

When you enter information about your clients into Dezio (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or project addresses), you are acting as the data controller for that information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate basis to collect and use that data, and for complying with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

We process this data solely on your behalf to provide the Service. We do not use your clients’ information for our own marketing purposes, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel or delete your account, we will retain your data for 30 days following the end of your access period, after which we may permanently delete your account data, project records, and uploaded files.

Shared links sent to clients may remain accessible until you explicitly disable sharing on a project. Submitted approvals and revision requests are retained as part of your project record.

We may retain certain data longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.

6. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Measures we employ include:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Database access is protected by row-level security policies
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel

While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information, including rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law. These may include the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Export your project data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getdezio.com. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. In some cases, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Cookies

The Service uses session cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. We do not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though this may prevent you from logging in or using the Service.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for use by adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@getdezio.com and we will promptly remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
